Fall Into Autumn

As we transition into the colder months, its time to incorporate some cozy textures and autumnal colourways into your decor. Finding timeless staples to include into your decor can be challenging, but you'll be happy to know there are only three main accessories you need in your home decor to increase the autumnal feels - flowers, soft furnishings and candles.

FLOWERS

Flowers are one of the most frequently changed home decor pieces; their diverse types and what each symbolises makes them the perfect items to switch to change the mood of a room. The warm neutral colour palettes of autumn are a great place to start when deciding on this seasons florals - deep reds add a pop of colour to your space, while creams and beiges are timeless and easy to integrate throughout the year.
Dried arrangements have increased drastically in the past few years, with pampas grass becoming a staple stem in many peoples homes. They are neutral in colour, allowing them to blend seamlessly into your decor, no matter your colour palette.

SOFT FURNISHINGS

These colder, shorter days are the perfect time to cozy up with a blanket or cushion. We particularly like to incorporate faux fur fabrics for this, as they make a room more snuggly by add texture to the room - this is particularly effective in a room with lots of metal, glass or marble as it adds contrast.
If you love being warm but hate high energy bills, a hot water bottle will be your best friend this season. Traditional water bottles can be a bit of an eyesore, but we have a beautiful selection of hot water bottles and eye mask duos that'll have you lounging in luxury.

CANDLES

Nothing compares to finishing a long day, putting your feet up and enjoying some mood lighting. A popular and accessible option for many people is using candles and there's a peacefulness emitted from a lit candle that can't be recreated with artificial light. Candles are also an important part of self care as scented ones stimulate your sense of smell and can be used alongside mindfulness or yoga to help you unwind and relax. This blog has been curated in partnership with a budding local business, Chenai Living, which specialises in handmade home decor and we particularly love their range of contemporary, artistic candle holders that suit a wide range of interior aesthetics. The handmade bowl featured in the autumn styling is a new in product of theirs and we absolutely love it!
